Looking back, Santan Junior High student Nico Gonzales thinks he knows when the tumor inside his brain began growing. “I was in the sixth grade, and I had received my first B in a class,” Nico said. “It was in math, and I was really confused. I remember there was a specific chapter that I spent probably three hours on, and I still failed that test.”
