Grand opening set for Queen Creek’s recreation, aquatic center

Mark your calendars because the town of Queen Creek has set a spring 2025 date for the grand opening of the Recreation & Aquatic Center at Frontier Family Park.

The event for the long-awaited center is set for 8-10 a.m., Saturday, March 29 at 22343 E. Ryan Road. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place from 7:30 to 8 a.m.

The celebration will include tours, demonstrations, sports challenges, games, cookie decorating and more, according to the town.

Queen Creek began construction on the center in May 2023.

The center is part of an approximately $160 million project that also included the construction of Frontier Family Park and the Mansel Carter Oasis Park expansion. The project was approved by the Queen Creek Town Council in December 2021.

Frontier Family Park opened in June and the 13-acre expansion of Mansel Carter Oasis Park opened in July.

The center will include an indoor recreation center with various sport courts such as basketball, volleyball and pickleball. It will also have a fitness area, teen room, childcare and classrooms.
