Chandler resident Sherriann Hotley says even very bright students can struggle, especially if an undiagnosed learning disability is part of the problem.
“You can talk to someone and tell that they’re real bright, but they are struggling, really struggling in math,” said Hotley, who teaches at Eastmark High School in Mesa. “I have two brothers that are spatially gifted, and the spatially gifted kids struggle in general education.
