A 17-year-old has lost his life following a shooting that took place at Cesar Chavez Park in south Phoenix earlier this month, according to authorities. Daron Jackson, the victim, succumbed to his injuries nearly two weeks after the incident, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. On April 1, around 8:00 p.m., police were called to the scene near 35th Avenue and Baseline Road, where they discovered Jackson with a critical gunshot wound in the parking lot.
The teenager fought for his life for over 10 days before passing away at the hospital. Concurrently, a woman was also reported to have suffered a gunshot wound on the same night, according to information from AZFamily.
