2 men arrested after armed robberies at north Phoenix eateries, gas stations

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two men have been arrested after authorities say they admitted to multiple armed robberies in north Phoenix in recent weeks.

Phoenix police say 22-year-old Osvaldo Campa and 20-year-old Pablo Manuel Escobar Castillo were arrested Tuesday.

Officers say the investigation started around 8:30 p.m. last Tuesday when two men committed a “takedown”-style armed robbery at the Filibertos near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Police shared surveillance video with Arizona’s Family showing suspects in the same colored clothing and also wearing face masks pulling out a gun at a drive-thru. In that instance, the man in black can be seen taking cash from one of the registers before placing it into a small shoulder bag or backpack…
