San Tan Valley woman says she’s stuck with medical bills after dog attack

SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ (AZFamily) — A San Tan Valley woman says she’s now stuck with thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills after a vicious dog attack.

On May 17, Jessica Donovan was at a baby shower playing with a friend’s dog when the dog lunged at her. She says the Great Dane latched onto her face, creating severe wounds on her cheek and mouth. “I remember just hearing a growl, closing my eyes and falling back,” Donovan said.

Since the attack, Donovan has gone to the emergency room twice and will likely suffer long-term injuries and be permanently numb in her face. “It was very painful. I could no longer drink through a straw. I couldn’t even open my mouth. Couldn’t talk,” she said…
