Preston Lord’s aunt writes book to help others deal with grief

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — This fall marks two years since Preston Lord was beaten to death outside of a Halloween party in Queen Creek. It’s a case that’s been felt by many across the Valley, including his loved ones, who had to deal with this devastating loss.

However, one of Preston’s relatives is now turning pain into purpose and has created a journal in hopes of helping others deal with their own grief.

Preston’s aunt, Melissa Lord, released a new journal titled “Echoed: If I Write Loud Enough, Will You Hear Me? last week. This grief journal contains thoughtful prompts, reflective quotes and open pages for expression. She also expresses her own stages of grief.
