Gila River Indian Community man sentenced to 20 years in stabbing death

Daryl Patrick Johns, 46, of Bapchule was sentenced on July 17 by U.S. District Judge Douglas L. Rayes to 20 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release following a second-degree murder conviction.

Johns, a member of the Gila River Indian Community, stabbed and killed the victim on Feb. 15, according to a release from the Arizona district of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
