DPS identifies driver killed in 3-vehicle crash on I-10 in Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The man who died in a crash on a busy Phoenix-area freeway this weekend has been identified.

Just after 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, DPS responded to the three-vehicle crash along the I-10 eastbound near 24th Street. They say 28-year-old Edgar Alberto Lopez-Fernandez rear-ended a white Acura and then crashed into the vent median wall before hitting another car.

DPS says Lopez-Fernandez of Eloy, Arizona, died as a result of the crash. Troopers say speed is believed to be a factor…
