‘Felt like I brought my son here to die’: Mom who moved family to Arizona speaks out after Valley Fever claimed her son’s life

PHOENIX — Amazing, loved, and motivated are just a few words Sheree Scott uses to describe her son Richard. She said he had so many visions and dreams that, unfortunately, never came to life.

“Everyone was so excited to be in the midst of Richard,” she said. “Because of his love and he was caring and upbeat. So to have that all taken because of a misdiagnosis, it’s not fair, it’s not right.”

It’s been three years since Scott lost her son to Valley Fever. The heartache, though, is just as strong as the day he took his last breath…
