Crash caused by ‘following too closely’ leaves trailer lodged in semi truck’s windshield, Arizona troopers say

Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Highway Patrol are asking drivers to leave each other more room following a multi-vehicle collision that took place on I-10 this week.

The crash occurred on October 7, 2025, on I-10 outside of Sacaton, Arizona.

“A commercial vehicle was driving in the left lane, was following too closely, and could not stop in time to avoid a collision. The CMV struck a Toyota Tundra towing a trailer. The trailer became lodged in the CMV’s windshield, and the Tundra was pushed into two other vehicles,” AZDPS said.

All drivers and passengers involved in the four-vehicle crash were transported from the scene for treatment of non life-threatening injuries…
