Phoenix, AZ – Theft Bust: Suspect Allegedly Tied to Stolen Cars, Trailers

Phoenix, AZ – A weeks-long auto theft investigation in the Phoenix metro area led to the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles and several arrests, according to authorities Wednesday.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), the Vehicle Theft Task Force recovered two stolen vehicles, four stolen trailers, and one dismantled stolen vehicle after tracking a series of thefts believed to be connected to a broader pattern impacting drivers across Maricopa County and surrounding areas.

Detectives say their investigation led them to 39-year-old Rafael Felix of Phoenix, who was arrested on multiple felony charges. According to investigators, Felix allegedly committed theft of means of transportation, theft involving control of property, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
