Man sentenced to 45 years for deadly attack on Phoenix construction crew

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man will spend 45 years behind bars for a deadly attack against a construction crew in Phoenix almost four years ago.

Zachery Shropshire, 36, shot and killed Alvaro Briceno Quezada on March 10, 2022, after opening fire on a construction crew that was remodeling an apartment in Phoenix.

The crew had just started cleaning up for lunch when Shropshire stepped out of his apartment armed with a rifle and handgun and began shooting.

He first shot Quezada in the leg and then opened fire again, shooting him several times before Quezada ultimately died…
