GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — Gilbert water rates are once again taking center stage as town council members move closer to a decision on how much residents’ bills will increase next year.
The increases have been part of a long-term plan adopted years ago. Water rates jumped 50% two years ago, rose another 25% last year and are scheduled to increase an additional 25% in the upcoming year. The plan has faced persistent pushback from residents.
