Husband of ex-Phoenix news anchor sentenced to 10 years in loan fraud scheme

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The husband of a former Phoenix news anchor learned his punishment for taking part in an elaborate COVID-19 loan scheme alongside his wife.

Nathan Reis was handed a 10-year prison sentence, the same amount as his wife, ex-KNXV employee Stephanie Hockridge. Reis was also ordered to pay back over $66 million and will be under supervised release for two years once released from prison.

A judge ordered Reis to serve his prison sentence at Federal Correction Institution Bastrop, a low-security federal prison in Bastrop, Texas. He must surrender to authorities before Jan. 20, 2026.

During Hockridge’s sentencing in November, the court asked that she be held at Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, the same facility that houses high-profile convicts like Ghislaine Maxwell, Elizabeth Holmes and reality TV star Jen Shah. She must surrender by Dec. 30…
