Knife-wielding robber sentenced to 9.5 years in Mesa convenience store holdup

A Valley man was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison Monday following an April robbery of a Mesa convenience store using a knife.

Cameron Davis, 34, pleaded guilty to one county of armed robbery after threatening an employee of a Circle K, 425 S. Crismon Road, with a knife while robbing the store, according to a press release.

Officials said the incident started when Davis went behind the store counter and began taking cigarettes. When confronted by an employee, Davis threatened to stab the worker, ordered him into a corner, and continued to take merchandise…
