“They come in, they say, ‘You know, everyone says they have good New York pizza, but we haven’t found it,’” said Howe, the manager of the new Yo Pauly’s New York Pizza Co. location in Chandler. “I usually say something like, ‘I’m not scared. I’ve heard this a million times before. We know the deal.
“In my 10-12 years with the business, I don’t think I’ve ever once gone back and said, ‘So, is it real New York pizza?’ And they’ve said, ‘No.’ They always said, ‘This is the real deal.’”…
