PHOENIX — The woman who was found dead near a canal in Phoenix on Friday morning has been identified, authorities said.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding “unknown trouble” near 28th and Oak streets around 7:40 a.m. on Friday.
Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive woman, later identified as 42-year-old Alex Fleming, near a canal bank. Fleming’s body showed signs of trauma, and the Phoenix Fire Department later pronounced her dead at the scene…
