PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After several months of training, the next generation of Arizona fire captains are ready to lead their crews!
Nearly two dozen East Valley firefighters completed their training at the captain’s academy. Fifteen firefighters from the Gilbert Fire Department and eight from Queen Creek Fire Department dedicated 160 hours to classroom instruction and hands-on training.
During their training, the firefighters earned college credit through a partnership with Phoenix College, building skills and confidence to be great leaders. Soon, graduates will step into their new roles as captain, working to keep our Valley communities safe!…
