No Gilbert water hikes next year but delinquents will get hit soon

Gilbert residents hit with steep utility bill hikes in the past years will get a brief reprieve in 2027, as town officials confirmed they aren’t planning any in the coming fiscal year.

However, about 4,500 of the town’s commercial and residential customers who are past due on their utility bills may be contacted soon to pay their outstanding amounts, calculated to be over $3 million currently.
