Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton four-star wide receiver Roye Oliver III announced his commitment to USC at high noon Friday.
Being the son of a Sun Devil didn’t stop the Trojans recruiting hot streak landing — what may be — their first commitment in the 2028 class. Oliver saw no need to wait, choosing USC over scholarship offers from Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, UCLA, and Texas among others.
Oliver ranks as the No. 96 overall player and the No. 18 wide receiver in the class of 2028. He received the honor of being named the Gatorade State Player of the Year for Arizona in just his sophomore year after a season where he compiled 92 receptions for 1,839 yards and 29 touchdowns.
