A defendant in the Preston Lord murder case will be allowed to remain out of custody in spite of a recent arrest, a judge ruled.
Prosecutors asked for Talyn Vigil’s release conditions to be changed or revoked following his arrest in early February 2026 on suspicion of reckless driving. Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sam Myers denied the request, saying he did not feel Vigil was a threat to the community or would fail to appear in court.
