SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Residents of Rio Verde Foothills are organizing petitions and signature drives to stop a proposed development of hundreds of homes in their community, just months after getting reliable water access for the first time in years.
“The water pipe was turned on January 1,” resident Amanda Monize said. “We are just three months into getting water into the community.”
