MESA, Ariz. — The Mesa Fire Department was dispatched Sunday night to help a horse trapped in a distressing situation.
At about 6:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a local canal where a horse had fallen and was unable climb out of. The horse apparently fell while attempting to cross over a metal grate bridge.
The horse’s rider managed to escape uninjured but the canal’s bank was too steep for the horse…
