The City of Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program is hosting a free event for senior residents from 9:30–11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at Hartford Elementary School, 700 N. Hartford St.
This month’s gathering will be a Dr. Seuss Read Across America Celebration, where seniors will be partnered with students to share their love of reading. There will be free large print books to take home as a thank you for each senior from Chandler Public Library and Neighborhood Programs, along with birthday cupcakes in honor of Dr. Seuss.
