Gun magazine forces evacuation of Frontier flight

Passengers and crew were deplaned and rescreened Sunday night, according to Frontier Airlines.

DENVER — A Frontier Airlines flight was evacuated Sunday night due to an “ammunition magazine” found on the plane, according to the airline.

Frontier flight 4765 was scheduled to depart Denver International Airport on Sunday at about 8 p.m. and arrive in Phoenix, Arizona, according to information from FlightAware.com.

After the magazine was discovered, the passengers and crew were deplaned and rescreened as a precaution, Frontier Airlines said. The aircraft also went through a security sweep and no additional threats were found, according to the airline.
