NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — According to the newly released information from the North Charleston Police Department, the man who fired the shots responsible for injuring one individual at a Circle K on Rivers Avenue on Sunday is a former North Charleston Police Officer.
The new information states that officers reportedly responded to the Circle K at approximately 2:20 a.m. in reference to a reported shooting that occurred in the parking lot. Upon arriving on scene, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a physical altercation occurred earlier at Mulligan’s Bar. The two individuals involved, neither of which were the former officer, subsequently left the location and separated.
