NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department says it is opening up a homicide investigation after a man who was shot while driving died.
Police say that, in the earliest hours of Tuesday morning, just before 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots at Avian Place Apartments on Dorchester Road. Shortly after this, dispatchers got an iPhone alert that a phone had detected a crash near the 5100 block of Dorchester Road.
