CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater helicopter crew medevaced a man from a fishing vessel 92 miles offshore Brunswick, Georgia, on Friday, with the assistance of Coast Guard Charleston watchstanders.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard News, Coast Guard Charleston watchstanders were notified by the operator of the 44-foot fishing vessel Still Fishing that a man, 56, was having symptoms related to a gastrointestinal illness. After discussing, the duty flight surgeon recommended a medevac.
