Officers arrest driver accused of aiming loaded gun at passing vehicles

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A Charleston County man was arrested Sunday after police say he pointed a handgun at a woman and other motorists in North Charleston.

Officers responded shortly before 1 p.m. to the intersection of Ashley Phosphate Road and Windsor Hill Boulevard after receiving reports of a weapons incident, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

A woman told dispatchers that a man in another vehicle was pointing a firearm at her and others while traveling along Ashley Phosphate Road. Police later located the suspect vehicle on Dorchester Road and conducted a traffic stop…
