CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — More than 3,000 soccer fans packed Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island on Monday night to cheer on the U.S. men’s national team during its FIFA World Cup Round of 16 matchup against Belgium.
The sold-out watch party, hosted by the Charleston Battery and Uptown Hospitality Group, marked the largest local World Cup gathering yet as interest in the U.S. team’s tournament run continues to grow.
