Former Goose Creek officer fired for ‘unaccounted’ paid time before hit-and-run arrest

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCSC) – A former Goose Creek police officer recently charged in a Summerville hit-and-run was fired for repeatedly working from home while clocked in, among other issues, according to department documents.

Devante Rumph, 30, was arrested by the South Carolina Highway Patrol on June 30.
