Man says he ran from N. Charleston police because he was late for work

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Police say a man led them on a brief pursuit because he was late for work.

Albert Jenkins, 61, has been arrested and charged with reckless driving.

The incident happened early Wednesday morning when officers allegedly observed Jenkins making an illegal left turn onto Ashley Phosphate Road by crossing a concrete median and disregarding a posted “No Left Turn” sign…
