CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department says Maybank Hwy. at the Stono River Bridge is currently closed in both directions due to a serious motor vehicle accident as of July 9, 2026 around 11:30 p.m.
The roadway is expected to be closed to motorists for several hours on Thursday night into Friday morning.
