GOOSE CREEK, S.C. — A new dessert shop built around one of the most familiar pairings at any birthday party — cake and ice cream — celebrated its grand opening over the weekend.
Cakes and Cones, located at 2007 2nd Avenue, Suite C, in the Carnes Crossroads community in Goose Creek welcomed customers for its grand opening celebration Saturday and Sunday, giving the community its first taste of the shop’s homemade desserts.
Morgan, an Ohio native, says she’s been baking since she was a kid. Opening her own shop, she added, was a dream years in the making…
