JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) — A small roundabout is coming to the intersection of Old Military Road, Grimball Road Extension and Secessionville Road on James Island, funded through the City of Charleston’s traffic calming budget at a cost of $37,000.
The intersection is unique when driving on each road; drivers are met with a different signal: drivers coming from Secessionville Road face a yield sign, drivers from Old Military Road face a stop sign, and drivers from Grimball Road Extension have the right of way with no signs.
