SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left one person hospitalized Thursday night.
Cyeaven Benn, 21, of Moncks Corner, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to sheriff spokesman Steven Wright.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting just before 10:30 p.m. at a house on Birch Lane. Upon arrival, they located Benn and immediately detained him during the investigation.
They also located the victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies began providing lifesaving medical care until emergency crews arrived on the scene to transport the victim to a nearby hospital…
