Coast Guard halts illegal charter vessel in Charleston Harbor

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The U.S. Coast Guard terminated the voyage of a charter vessel operating illegally in Charleston Harbor after determining it was carrying paying passengers without meeting required regulations, officials said.

A Coast Guard Station Charleston law enforcement crew intercepted the 47-foot vessel, named ‘Triple Net, ‘ on June 29 while it was operating as a bareboat charter with 18 passengers for hire.
