NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — North Charleston police say violent crime has decreased over the past six months compared to the same period last year.
Chief Ron Camacho said homicides, aggravated assaults, robberies and other violent crimes have declined during that time.
“A life protected, a family spared tragedy, and a neighborhood made safer,” Camacho said.

“Research and experience consistently demonstrate that proactive policing helps reduce violent crime,” he said.
