HOLLYWOOD, S.C. (WCBD) – The Town of Hollywood is responding to concerns about a proposed bond connected to a legal settlement after more than 800 residents signed a petition opposing the measure.
Town leaders held a special meeting Monday evening to address the petition and provide an update on the town’s obligations under a settlement agreement stemming from a lawsuit filed by the Pederson family.
According to the town, the dispute dates back to a 2010 agreement in which the Pederson family donated nine acres of land for the construction of the current town hall and library.
