NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Tunnel to Towers Foundation will celebrate the opening of its new Veterans Village in North Charleston on Friday, expanding housing resources and support services for veterans experiencing homelessness in the Lowcountry.
According to the foundation, the North Charleston Veterans Village will provide 90 units of affordable, permanent supportive housing for veterans. The project transformed a former hotel property into housing designed to help veterans achieve long-term stability and independence.
Veterans living at the community will have access to on-site services, including job training and employment assistance, VA benefits navigation, education assistance, financial counseling, legal advocacy, mental health and PTSD counseling, and addiction recovery support…
