NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A man arrested in connection with a violent July Fourth block party is facing a federal charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition.
Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to a large disturbance on Spruill Avenue in the Chicora-Cherokee neighborhood for a Fourth of July block party that resulted in gunshots, fights, and officers being assaulted.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina, while one officer was being assaulted by several individuals, their department-issued taser and two firearm magazines, each containing 13 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, became dislodged and unsecured from their holster…
