CHARLESTON CO., S.C. (WCSC) – A Charleston County woman and her husband are suing Roper St. Francis after allegedly not sharing critical medical information that the lawsuit claims could have prevented a stage four cancer diagnosis.
The lawsuit, filed by Shannon and Lonnie James on September 8, names Roper St. Francis Hospital and primary care physician Dr. Alexis Jesup. The complaint alleges gross negligence and medical malpractice for repeatedly failing to communicate or investigate the incidental finding.
