Police arrest man in connection with North Charleston homicide

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another victim injured.

Kevin Bernard Douglas Jr., 18, of Ladson, is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Officers responded to a shooting incident at Dobson Place Apartments on Aug. 31 around 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, whom the coroner identified as Gevione Palmer, died at a nearby hospital, while the other was injured and hospitalized, according to Lt. Anthony King…
