NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A man surrendered to North Charleston police Tuesday morning after he allegedly fired shots at several businesses in a shopping plaza two months ago.
Joshua James Anderson, 21, of Charleston, is charged with two counts of malicious injury to property greater than $2,000.
Officers responded to the Festival Centre on Ashley Phosphate Road just after 4 a.m. on July 1. Dorchester County deputies, who were in the area on an unrelated call, reported that an unknown vehicle had driven through the plaza and that someone inside had fired at the windows of several businesses, according to Lt. Anthony King.
The damage varied from small holes in the glass to large sections of windows being blown out, according to police. A witness later told them that a vehicle drove through the area while someone inside allegedly fired in what appeared to be a BB or pellet gun…
