NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A city employee in North Charleston has been arrested and placed on leave after an incident involving his on-and-off girlfriend.
Thomas Karn has been charged with kidnapping and assault and battery in the first degree.
The charges stem from an incident police say took place Aug. 22.
