A new book traces the beloved writer’s work and life along the SC coast
Bestselling author Pat Conroy lived in the Lowcountry for half of his life, and the region informed many of his most highly regarded books, including The Lords of Discipline, The Prince of Tides, The Great Santini, and Beach Music. Lynn Seldon, a travel writer based in Beaufort, South Carolina, considered Conroy a mentor and friend, and says the new release, Pat Conroy’s Lowcountry, “is a book I was meant to write.”
