FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston-area fans of Dolly Parton will have some opportunities to celebrate the country music icon on Friday during unofficial “Dolly Day.”
The observance falls on Sept. 25, or 9/25, a nod to Parton’s hit 1980 song and film, 9 to 5. The celebration comes one month after Parton died Aug. 25 at age 80 following a brief battle with cancer.
