COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston County School Board member Darlene Dunmeyer-Roberson defended her position before a three-member panel in Columbia on Monday, responding to allegations that could lead to her removal from the board.
The hearing is the first of its kind involving a South Carolina school board member facing removal proceedings over alleged misconduct.
The hearing followed an executive order from Gov. Henry McMaster that allowed Dunmeyer-Roberson to respond to charges involving the disclosure of executive session material, unauthorized disclosure of confidential information and a conflict of interest.
