‘These deaths could have been prevented’: Statement released on behalf of father of Emory, Harlow Deacon

LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) – A statement released on behalf of the father of Emory and Harlow Deacon, two children found dead in a Ladson home on September 29, 2026, says their deaths should and could have been prevented.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has ruled both deaths homicides and determined the children died from starvation and dehydration due to neglect.
